You've got the wrong emPHASis on the wrong syllABLE...

Have you ever read a word- a fairly easy word- and you read out the syllables wrong. Then when you figure out the word, you can only shake your head at yourself and say, "You IDIOT!"
Well, I do that a lot. A lot more than any person should.
My mind is recalled to a time when I was a young girl of Hmm.... let's say forteen- maybe fifteen... Amy, Tami, Heidi, Mom and Myself were driving through the rough streets of Provo, when we passed BYU. My eyes fell across the football stadium on campus and I read the side of the building, LaVell Edwards Stadium. If you're as familiar with this name as I was, it is pronounced, Lu-Vell. Lu. Vell.
I says to myself, "Self, who the heck is LaVell Edwards?" So, I asked the question out loud.
You'd have thought I told the funniest joke in the history of the sense of humor. So much laughter from the others in the car.
Amy shook her head and said, "It's pronounced Lu-Vell. Not Lavil." (As I said)

Tonight I read the name of the song, The Girl From Ipanema. Instead of me reading it as
ee-pan-eema, I read it I- pan-i-ma.

Has anyone read these? I haven't but I saw the author on Glenn Beck and I becme curious. The author, Brandon Mull, was part of the BYU comedy sketch group, Divine Comedy. He played Gandolfo the Grad in Lord of the Engagement Ring.


Anyways... I guess I just want to know if it's a good series...


After I'm finished with the third book in the Twilight series, I'll need a new series to read. Somebody help me out here....
